The model TIC-9000 is a microprocessor-based transducer indicator/readout which can be used with virtually any AC-Operated LVDT or gage probe in a variety of automation, process or laboratory 应用领域. The unit contains a single channel LVDT signal conditioner, along with digital logic, to provide control functions and digital indication of the LVDT position.

Two high and two low programmable digital set points monitor different gaging 参数s. Front panel annunciators indicate when setpoints exceed limits. An optional 5 amp relay provides output to external indicator lights or equipment. Auto-zero functions can be set from front panel membrane switches or remotely from the rear panel connector. Hysteresis of setpoint limits is also programmable.

The Model TIC-9000 provides a 5V analog output for feeding external instrumentation or control devices. An optional RS232 serial output communicates data to most computers or data collection devices.

How It Works

The TIC-9000 utilizes contemporary monolithic circuitry to provide signal conditioning for any AC-operated LVDT. This circuitry provides amplitude and frequency stable excitation to the LVDT and conditions the output to provide a low noise DC output.

The unit also contains a high accuracy A/D converter tied to a micro processor that provides all of the logic functions and control over the digital display.

The five digit , LED display can be calibrated in any engineering unit and is settable from front panel membrane switches. All logic functions, including limit setpoint values, and auto-zero, are also set from this front control panel.

Annunciators indicate the status of calibration and operating 参数s. Front panel controls may be disabled for normal operations to prevent unauthorized tampering.
